There are lots of ways to collect data with your drone. Here are some of our favorite settings depending on the mission.

Early Season

These settings will produce, clear, crisp, color images suitable for plant emergence analysis and other early-season scouting activities. Generally, when the plants are small, fly low and fly slow.

  • 200ft
  • 8m/s (22mph)
  • 30% Overlap & Sidelap for QuickTile
  • 80% Overlap & Sidelap for Stitching

Mid/Late Season

As the plants begin to fill in and the focus shifts from individual plants to zones, you can relax the settings a bit, flying higher and faster. While the individual images may not be as revealing as if you flew lower and slower, we enjoy the extra acres per battery and still get good zone-level NDVI analysis.

  • 400ft
  • 13m/s (29mph)
  • 30% Overlap & Sidelap for QuickTile
  • 80% Overlap & Sidelap for Stitching
